Flu Fighter Tea

It’s that time of year again. My grandson spent some TLC time with me this week as he had a cold and couldn’t go to school. I made a big pot of “Flu Fighter Tea”. We both enjoyed sipping the warm contents throughout the day.

1Bring 1 litre of water to the boil and add ingredients

2Continue to boil for one minute. Allow to cool slightly and strain and drink throughout the day.


1 tablespoon honey

2 teaspoons of fresh grated peeled ginger

1 large lemon sliced (leave the skin on)

1 cinnamon stick or ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder

6 cloves

1 clove garlic

¼ tsp fresh chopped chilli or a pinch of cayenne
