Norwegian Apple Pie

This is a no-fuss, easy-to-make item that comes in handy when you want something a bit sweet but not too over the top...
Particularly good at this time of year when lots of people have apples going to waste in the garden; it’s a way to use the less than perfect ones and make them into something tasty.
1Whisk the egg, then add the ingredients in the order given, stirring in the apples last.
2Transfer the mix to a 20cm greased pie plate.
3Bake at 180°C for around 30 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean and the pie is risen and golden brown.
4Serve warm, dusted with icing sugar and with cream or ice cream if you wish.
