1Heat the berries and sugar together in a small saucepan. Bring to the boil then simmer gently for 2-3 minutes. Press through a fine sieve and discard the seeds. Pour over the cake slices just before serving.


200g raspberries, fresh or frozen

4 Tbsp caster sugar
